Neighborhood Flower Shop Blooms Collective Announces August Events

Blooms Bar, Designing With Summer Flowers,

and Kids Workshop Open for Registration Offer Something for Everyone

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 11, 2025) – Blooms Collective, the Dupont neighborhood flower shop, announced its upcoming events for August.

On Friday, August 15 from 4 – 7 PM, it will host its monthly Blooms Bar, a neighborhood happy hour and optional walk-in floral activity. The event is free to attend; an activities fee is charged if participants choose to participate in the floral project.  

“Designing With Summer Flowers,” a hands-on workshop focused on floral design and arranging in an upright vase, will be held on Thursday, August 21 from 6 – 7:30 PM. No experience is necessary, and participants will take home their work of art in a reusable vase. Class size is limited.

On Saturday, August 23, Blooms will host two one-hour Kids Workshops at 11 AM and 2 PM. Open to children pre-K through fifth grade, the workshop will guide children as they create a floral masterpiece they can take home. Class size is limited.

“We have strived to create a flower shop based on friendship, community and creativity,” said co-founder Lauren  Herrington. “These community events strengthen our connections with our neighbors while we create beauty and joy together.”
